Silver and black paper, cut with embroidery scissors.

Ever since I was a little girl I have enjoyed cutting out paper trees for Christmas. Usually they're made with four sides, so they can stand alone, but this particular one is under glass, flattened into a fancy black frame. That way, it should last a little longer than one season. (They almost invariably get crumpled and torn.)

For my Mom....

Thanks, Avara *smile*
It was, actually -- a nicely carved black wooden frame.
Hard on the fingers (get cramped), but otherwise not too bad.

There are lots of resources on paper cutting out there, but the technique I use was pretty much self-taught.

If you have any particular questions, however, feel free to ask. :)
Oh, okay I'll get back to you when I start. Thanks a lot, for offering help.
